We recommend flying from Cairo to Luxor directly. The flying time from Cairo to Luxor is 1 hour.
Access
Driving to and from Luxor is not usually recommended as it would require a police escort and the driving time is both long and tiring - approximately 12 hours from Cairo to Luxor.
