Start your vacation in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park at a luxurious lodge on the banks of the gorgeous Zambezi River. The eco-conscious Thorntree River Lodge is located just upstream from the world’s biggest curtain of falling water, Victoria Falls. With an exclusive-use boat, temperature-controlled wine collection and private plunge pools, it’s one of Zambia’s most indulgent and contemporary lodges. Then escape to an exquisite acacia-forested island along the edge of an ancient floodplain in Zimbabwe’s biggest reserve, Hwange National Park. This immense area is a haven for large numbers of buffalo and elephant. In fact, Hwange’s elephant population is the second largest in the world. Your accommodation - Somalisa Camp - is situated in a private concession which means that you will enjoy walking safaris, night drives and game viewing from secret hides – special safari activities not permitted in the public park. Cap your safari experience with three nights at the magical Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, nestled in the remote hills that cradle the gorgeous Lake Kariba. Days 1 - 4: A river safari beside the Zambezi | 3 Nights - ZAMBIA
Welcome to Africa! After landing at Zambia’s Livingstone Airport, you will be transferred to the stunning Thorntree River Lodge. Situated in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, about 20 kilometres or 12 miles upstream from the legendary Victoria Falls, Thorntree is one of the most luxurious and modern lodges on the Zambezi River.

Days 4 - 7: Discover ‘the land of the giants’ | 3 Nights HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
After checking out from Thorntree River Lodge, you will enjoy a road transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport for your short-haul flight into Hwange. Also known as ‘the land of the giants’, Hwange is home to the second-largest elephant population in the world.
Your accommodation, Somalisa Camp, is tucked away on a gorgeous acacia island on the edge of an ancient floodplain. Your elegant tented suite is equipped with a glass wood-burner fireplace and an en-suite bathroom featuring a copper slipper-style bathtub. Spend your days exploring this beautiful wilderness area on game drives and nature walks with passionate guides. Experience unique activities like night game drives and game viewing from special hides. Or simply sit back, relax with a cold beverage in hand and enjoy an ‘armchair safari’ on Somalisa’s viewing deck overlooking its Elephant Pool – a natural waterhole where a variety of game congregate to drink.

Days 7 - 10: Discover Big 5 country | 3 Nights LAKE KARIBA, MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
Board a short-haul flight to Lake Kariba, the world’s biggest artificial lake. You will be welcomed at the magical Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, an iconic property offering the kind of panoramic views that will make you pinch yourself in disbelief.
Bumi’s blockbuster is its infinity pool, a tranquil space that blends limitlessly into the horizon. Spend your days on private boat cruises while trying your hand at some tiger fishing; scenic walking safaris along the lakeside; and game drives in search of Matusadona National Park’s famed lions. You will be back at the lodge each evening in time for the most magnificent sunsets you have ever witnessed.
